Shelter Dinner Help Needed
Groups of families, neighbors, friends and/or congregation members needed. Our Shelter Dinner program coordinates the efforts of faith groups or other groups who commit to bring in food and prepare dinner for our shelter residents once or twice a month. This benefits everyone—our food budget is helped, the adult residents get a "night off" from cooking and our volunteers have a very hands-on experience in serving and spending time with our families. Some groups have brought children to assist and have commented how it moved the children to further action.

To help in the Shelter Dinner program or to donate supplies, contact Shelter Coordinator Maureen Glenn or call our office: 425-252-6672.

Adopt a room: Move out supplies for families: dishes, cups, silverware, kitchen utensils including pots/pans, potholders, towels for bath and kitchen, blankets/sheets, sometimes beds and other furniture.

Adopt of room: Help prepare a room at the shelter as one family moves out and another is ready to move in.

General Supplies: Liquid dishwasher detergent, dishwashing soap, liquid hand soap, cleaning supplies including bleach, "windex," and other supplies (as eco-friendly as possible) that can help us sanitize our much-used surfaces, toilet paper, paper towels.

Educational Supplies: Art and music supplies, journaling materials, other things related to the educational/social/emotional growth of our families.

Learning Center for our adults and older youth — materials for GED, basic education, pre-employment are welcome. We’d LOVE to find a group who would simply "take on" the development of this needed service at the shelter.

As our storage space is limited and our needs change, please call our Shelter Coordinator prior to bringing over any "things." Maureen Glenn 425-303-9774
